Because one turbocharged V8-engined SUV in these times of economic woe is just not enough... What you see below is BMW’s official video footage of the new 2009 BMW X6 M testing at the Ascari race circuit in Spain. It's the sister car to the X5 M we watched in December 2008, and both will make their worldwide debuts are expected at the Shanghai auto show in April 2009.
BMW's Mini division has revealed the Beachcomber concept, which is set to make its public debut at the NAIAS in Detroit early next year. Inspired by the Mini Moke from the 1960s, the four-seat Beachcomber concept features a removable hard and soft top and removable doors. Measuring less than four meters long, it is said to preview the forthcoming Mini SUV due in 2010.
Mazda has released pictures of the Takeri concept ahead of the car's unveiling at the forthcoming Tokyo motor show. Said to preview the next generation 6, the concept is the second car from Mazda to adopt the 'Soul and Motion', or ‘Kodo', design language. The Takeri's DRG is dominated by the now familiar large Mazda grille, itself rimmed by a silver section that intersects the lamp graphic.
